Depicting a serpent eating its own tail, the ancient symbol ouroboros is constructed in red neon. It flashes 24 hours a day for the duration of the exhibition and is often installed in a public location facing the street. The exact timing of the flashing is sourced from footage of the earliest neon signs. The constancy of the flashing resonates with the cyclicality that the symbol represents.
